Pod vs Mod in 2020

Posted by

Vaping as a technology fueled industry is always evolving, and things don’t stay the same for long. Over the last year or so now we have seen pod style devices emerging and pod mods with them. Bigger devices have been trying to find a way to get as small as possible while keeping the flavor and vapor production they’re known for. I will always maintain there is no right or wrong in vaping, but what works for you, and with all of the new style device options, how do you know what is right for you?

A pod system is typically geared at portability and minimalism and works well with higher nicotine strengths and salt nic. Larger mods on the other hand, are better suited for those who want a bigger hit and stronger flavor and prefer a lower nicotine strength. Pod mods meet right in the middle and depending on the coil you can run them at higher wattages with low nic strength for maximum flavor, or low wattage with high nic strength if your top priority is just curving your nic cravings. Personally I like the best of all worlds, so when I’m home hanging out I stick to a big mod, the increased flavor and vapor production is perfect for when it’s time to relax and chill. When I am out and about running errands I prefer a pod system, the portability and small size are convenient as all get out when I have a thousand other things on my mind.

Big mods still have a place in 2020. They aren’t just for chasing power and big clouds, however those are fun additions for the super satisfying larger hit. Small pod systems have just as much place however, stealth, portability, and a quick nic fix help make the day go a lot smoother.
